So many empty books, full of blue lines, black lines, even red lines. Full of white spaces, I do not know how to fill. I'm afraid my words might tarnish the unwritten secrets these books could contain. I'm afraid they might never be enough.

  1. I have this dreadful habit of buying pretty books and only filling a few pages, making for a collection of abandoned diaries and forgotten lists. So I know how it is. Sometimes ugly books are easier to make friends with.

  4. Your words are so beautiful, any diary would be lucky to be filled with them. What a lovely collection you have, don't be afraid to just pick up a pencil and start one of them. They long to be written in.

  5. I do collect empty notebooks. The ones I used were the sixty- cent ones-- the notebooks were just best empty.

  6. I do the very same thing. I love beautiful books but fear I may taint the pages, my writing never quite lives up to the high standard.. but you have a pretty collection anyway! xx

  9. There is nothing more beautiful than a new notebook; I am guilty of buying too many. Those blank pages are just so enticing. Your words are always beautiful, perhaps you don't realise it yourself. Your words will not tarnish, they will adorn. x

  10. I love those. I know how you feel. I always buy old books just because is love the look and the fact that the book is a witness of so many decades. Love it.

  11. I know exactly how you feel. I have a million books still unfilled. Wouldn't mind getting a couple of those though!

  12. I do this too! Collect every pretty notebook/journal and then never use it. Don't feel worthy. It seems far easier to write in a plain book than any of these would be.

  16. What a beautiful collection.. Your words remind me of my own when it comes to notebooks and journals. They always have to be just right, or I'm too worried about that my words will not be enough. But I've come to realise through teaching other writers, words are always enough, being brave enough to stain the page with ink is the very first step to opening your heart...
