Today.

It snowed yesterday, but today the sun was shining so bright that the snow almost all melted. No matter how much I want to see the ground sparkling white, blinding and stark, and can't help but love the yellow tones of this dry, dead grass against the clear blues of a winter sky, framed by the barren branches of the trees. There is something beautiful in a desolate landscape.

Also, I write letters (and postscripts) - EPISTOLARY SHIPS
a little writing project I started a few days ago. The goal being to write a letter or postscript a day for as long as I can stand it (hopefully most of 2012), just so I at least write something, every day.

I hope December is kind to you. The Holidays are coming and this makes me very very happy.

  11. Epic's story and RPG-like focus is not a thematic side job or Fortnite Items something the developer is performing just for pleasure. Focusing on world-building and giving players a communal story to rally around is a business imperative to get a free-to-play game such as Fortnite. The sport can only remain relevant so long as players feel encouraged in what they're doing. That does not just mean playing the competitive multiplayer each day to unlock challenges or try and win a match. Being spent in Fortnite also means caring deeply about what narrative Epic is attempting to inform, where the game is directed, buying Fortnite Items and how that interplay between gameplay and narrative can assist the title evolve over the years, like just the best of MMOs.
