Been collecting winter songs and pine needles. It’s easier than collecting snowflakes (tried to press some in my diary, they made the ink run and my thoughts disappeared. Have been thinking in blotches ever since). I wanted to preserve winter in a jar and lock it in my ribcage. Your voice tasted like holly and snow and sage.

  6. Oh, my dear. I am still quite stuck in the late honeyed days of Summer, and honestly am looking forward to Autumn but am quite terrified of another Winter. You've made me feel just a tiny bit better about it, thank you <3

    xx and hugs

  9. My dearest,

I've been anticipating winter with a restless heart, and your words have simultaneously fueled my anticipation and made waiting just a bit more bearable. I love the idea of thoughts coming out in blotches. Our diaries truly are our minds, aren't they?

    I hope you're well.

    Grace and peace,
    Kinnery xx
