In the days that came after, I pressed flowers in old books, and scratched lines in the dirt. I wrote words with blades of grass, and scribbled in fading diaries.
But if it rained, I only listened to the sound of the water hitting the roof and the slow beating of my heart, waking up from its slumber.

there is really nothing to say in response to such beauty-- instead i am only trapped inside an endless box of mediocre "how lovely" 's and for this i am sorry

    So peaceful, mellow and uplifting.

I like your words, by the way.
They make me feel really warm and fuzzy, as cheesy as that sounds.
